  • yea i used to have problems with acne, i think the best solution is….well i dont exactly know, but i used this stuff called Tretonin cream…it really worked!

I would wash my face before putting it on.

It really worked too. It gets worse before better, but its definatly worth it! i reccomend tretonin to everyone.

  • First step to getting rid of acne is Water! What causes acne is the impurities in your body, the oils and junk is coming out through your skin and clogging your pours.

Drink lots of water and your body will flush out most of these oils and what not.

Water is cheep too! As for actual meds. I have no idea. I have always drank lots of water.

  • I recommend Proactiv, or at least a similar product with benzoyl peroxide. Also, make sure the cleansers you use have really good exfoliants.

  • When I was a teenager I had mild acne that always cleared up when I would apply benzoyl peroxide (oxy 5). Have you tried it? I always applied it to my trouble areas as a preventative measure every morning and evening, and it was successful.

Washing your face often, always using a clean towel to pat dry your face after washing, keeping your hands away from your face, drinking plenty of water — these all help, but impurities can still get into your pores and your skin can react by going to war with the impurity, sending its white blood cells into battle … and then we’ve got a spot. Benzoyl peroxide works because it oxygenates, it gets oxygen into the pores to prevent bacteria from multiplying (bacteria likes anaerobic environments) and setting off the little war on your face or elsewhere. For the same reason I can recommend hydrogen peroxide as a toner — it pulls in oxygen to prevent bacteria from growing and then turns to water, and at 50 cents a bottle it’s quite a deal.

Now as a greying woman knocking on 40′s door I started to get spots again, and I was not all too excited to use benzoyl peroxide as it is very drying.

    Prescription: No

Good luck and hope this helps!
