Acne Products

Acne skin care products are one of the first specialized purchases at the drug store for teens and adults alike.

But how do you choose which acne skin care products are the best? Very seldom inexpensive and it can be quite costly buying and using products that seem to have very little effect on your acne condition.

If blackheads are your biggest concern you might want to try Neutrogena Cooling Mask. Neutrogena makes products for sensitive skin maintaining pH balance so you can’t go wrong with one of their products. The Cooling Mask helps lift and clear blocked pores.

As for cleansers you might like to try pHisoderm 4-Way Daily Acne Cleanser. It helps maintain your skin’s delicate pH balance and loosens clogged pores.

Astara Blue Flame Filtration Mask has been heralded by a number of teens across the country to reduce stress and lessen acne. I’ve never tried it but if you have, and it worked for you, please leave me a comment below so others will feel comfortable spending their money on the product.

PhytoMe Acne Gel is also stated as a topical treatment that when applied religiously works wonders.

  • My son has tried all kinds of acne products but the acne keeps reoccuring what should he try if money is an issue? He is one of those teenagers that really cares about his face and body.

  • Christina, thanks for writing…

I have a teenage daughter who is just sporting signs of acne herself, so I know where you’re coming from!

We’ve been experimenting the last few weeks with a few techniques to clear up acne cheaply and are seeing some pretty good results.

    Here’s what we’re doing:

    a) changing our pillow cases every morning.
    b) never using facecloths to wash our faces (we splash, or steam our pores to start, then splash off any soap residue repeatedly).
    c) using facecloths only to pat dry our skin and changing them every second day.
    d) we are using sensitive skin cleansers and toners.
    e) we are cleansing and purifying our bodies (by drinking water and taking an herbal supplement).

Our cost to start this acne control campaign? Less than $40 and like I said we are seeing results already!

Good luck and drop me back a note to let me know how your son’s acne is getting along.
